The Black Crowes have announced an expansion of tour dates in support of their latest studio effort, Happiness Bastards, which represented their first new batch of music since 2009’s Before the Frost… Until the Freeze. The newest concert additions come after Aerosmith shutdown its Farewell Tour, freeing up time for The Black Crowes, who had been tasked with accompanying the rock stalwarts on the road this fall prior to the resulting change-up.

New dates have been interspersed with existing U.S. tour stops, making for a sweeping crawl across the country when the itinerary picks up on Sept. 27. The initial freshly tacked-on gig is slated for Center Stage at MGM Northfield Park in Northfield, Ohio. From there, the ensemble will pick up an already-announced date in Cincinnati before resuming a series of new appearances.

Next, new locational features of the Black Crowes’ agenda will take the band to Pikeville, Ky., initiating regional stands in the Southern part of the country: Durham, N.C. (Oct. 10) and New Orleans (Oct. 12). Next, they will bring their live show to St. Louis (Oct. 26), before following up in Moon Township, Pa. Returning to the country’s midsection, the group will participate in another new stop, this time an Oklahoma delivery (Nov. 7), ahead of a three-night Lone Star State run.

Another round of newly added concerts will take the band to Salt Lake City (Nov. 19), followed up weeks later by an evening at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. The Black Crowes will round out the list with two nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. In addition to new dates, the band also shared a series of rescheduled appearances, including St. Augustine, Fla.  (Oct. 4), Milwaukee, Wis. (Oct.19), Waukee, Iowa (Oct. 23) and Rockford, Ill. (Oct. 25).

Moreover, the band’s rescheduled concert dates also include Uncasville, Conn. (Oct. 31), Rama, Ontario (Nov. 2), Albuquerque, N.M. (Nov. 16), Wheatland, Calif. (Nov. 30), and Oxon Hill, Md. (Dec. 19). Addressing the change, The Black Crowes wrote on Instagram: “Due to the cancellation of the Aerosmith Tour, we also had to move a few of the previously announced show dates and unfortunately have to cancel the Tucson, Wanatchee and Verona shows.” Scroll down to view the band’s post.

To secure tickets to the newly added and rearranged dates, presale tickets and VIP packages begin tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. local time with code CROWEMAFIA. Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, Aug. 23, at theblackcrowes.com.
