This year, Modest Mouse will reach its milestone 20th anniversary after releasing its fourth studio album, Good News for People Who Love Bad News. To mark the occasion, the band has announced its intent to pay homage to the record on the road with a fully-fledged tour, honoring the landmark set, which assisted in their mainstream success due in part to five-time platinum single “Float On,” gold-certified “The World At Large” and “Ocean Breathes Salty.”

The anniversary tour is slated to begin at the Rebuplik in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Oct. 28, 2024. Back on the mainland, Modest Mouse will take their jaunt along the West Coast, beginning at Seattle’s Paramount Theater, before dropping down to their current hometown, Portland, Ore., where they will perform three consecutive nights, Nov. 1-3 at Revolution Hall. Traveling South, the band performed at the stunning Fox Theater in Oakland, Calif., followed by another three-parter, this time on Los Angeles’ Bellwether stage, Nov. 6-8.

Modest Mouse will perform at a final West Coast concert on Nov. 9 at San Diego’s The Sound. From there, the band treks through the Midwest, stopping in Denver (Nov. 11), Omaha, Neb. (Nov. 12), and Milwaukee, Wis. (Nov. 13), ahead of a one-night stand at Chicago’s The Salt Shed. Next, they will play at Detroit’s Fillmore location ahead of a one-off stop at Toronto’s HISTORY on Nov. 17.

Formally on the East Coast, Modest Mouse will continue celebrating their Grammy-nominated set with more concerts slated for Boston (Nov. 19), Philadelphia (Nov. 20), and a final three-part Brooklyn, N.Y. close out, slated for Brooklyn Steel on Nov. 21 through 23.

Good News for People Who Love Bad News rapidly assisted in Modest Mouse’s assent due in part to the efforts of band members Isaac Brock, Dann Gallucci, Eric Judy, and Benjamin Weikel, and notable contributions from Tom Peloso, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and The Flaming Lips. Earlier this year, the band released a digital expanded edition of the 20th-anniversary set, featuring eight bonus tracks, including brand new remixes from Poolside, Jacknife Lee, Dan the Automator, MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden, and more. Order now.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 23, at 10:00 AM local time. Visit modestmouse.com for more information.
