Dave Grohl’s Epiphone DG-335 Signature Guitar Back in Stock

Dave Grohl's Epiphone DG-335 Signature Guitar Back in Stock

Dave Grohl and Epiphone joined forces for the new DG-335 signature guitar back in March of this year. After the model sold out pretty quickly, Epiphone has announced that the guitar is back in stock (purchase here).

The guitar should be familiar to fans of Foo Fighters, as it combines the body of Grohl’s trusty ES axe — even sporting the same striking Pelham Blue finish — with a one-piece mahogany neck with an elliptical C profile, a laurel fretboard, split diamond inlays, and a Trini Lopez-style headstock with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners.

The semi-hollowbody is made of layered maple/poplar and also touts the diamond-shaped F-holes that are a fixture of the ES models. Electronically, the guitar houses Dave’s preferred pickups: Gibson USA Burstbucker models, with a Burstbucker 2 in the neck and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. They’re wired to CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors, and a Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch and 1/4-inch output jack.

Epiphone maintained that the DG-335 is “one of the most requested models” in the brand’s history. The guitar retails for $1,299 and comes with a Dave Grohl custom hardshell case.

Fans can also catch Dave Grohl playing his ES-335 guitar on Foo Fighters’ ongoing 2024 tour, with tickets available here.
