Snow White Trailer Offers First Look at Live-Action Remake

Disney unveiled the first teaser trailer for the Snow White live-action remake at D23 on Friday evening. Watch it below.

Snow White stars Rachel Zegler as the eponymous character alongside CGI versions of the seven dwarfs: Bashful, Doc, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy, Sleepy, and Sneezy. Gal Gadot plays the Evil Queen.

The production of the musical reimagining has been met with several controversies, ranging from the overblown backlash to the casting of a Latina actress as Snow White to Peter Dinklage criticizing Disney for “still making that fucking backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together.”

In response to Dinklage, Disney explained they were “taking a different approach with these seven characters.” A first-look image released in October 2023 confirmed that they took an animated route.

Snow White was directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay written by Greta Gerwig and Erin Cressida Wilson. It was originally slated for release in March 2024, but was moved to March 21st, 2025 due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

In the meantime, head over to Disney+ to watch the original in 4K.
