Green Day To Release 'American Idiot' 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition

Green Day will mark the 20th anniversary of their iconic album ‘American Idiot’ with a new deluxe edition.

Set for release on October 25, it will feature previously unreleased demos, b-sides and live tracks from their show at New York’s Irving Plaza as well as a brand new documentary feature, the appropriately titled ’20 Years Of American Idiot’.

Limited edition super deluxe box sets will also be available on vinyl and CD with accompanying Blu Ray. Preorder those now at this link.

Featuring huge singles ‘Boulevard Of Broken Dreams’ and ‘Holiday’, the album reached No.1 in the UK upon its original release in September 2004 and has since sold more than 23 million copies worldwide. The band have been performing the album in full as part of their current ‘Saviors’ stadium world tour.

Three tracks from the deluxe edition are available to listen to now: the demo ‘Holiday/Blvd. Of Broken Dreams’, b-side ‘Favorite Son’ and a live version of ‘Minority’.
