General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) had a bit of a kitchen disaster recently. On Instagram, Storms shared a picture of herself looking less than camera ready and admitted an exploding coffee canister was to blame!
Storms started off her post by acknowledging it was a funny story before launching an explanation about her coffee grounds mishap.
Although Storms normally doesn’t have any problems with her tins in the morning, somehow things went horribly wrong this time.
“I’ve opened several canisters of @illy_coffee tins and never have the grounds exploded out of that cute metal container. ::sigh:: There is a first time for everything,” Storms said.
Kirsten Storms also joked about preferring her coffee brewed in hot water or over ice instead of having it straight from the container.
The GH star certainly didn’t enjoy having the coffee grounds all over her face – as evidenced by her frown in the photo she put up.
However, Storms took responsibility for what happened since there’s a warning right there on the lid.
It’s even written in multiple languages, so Storms had to admit she’d been given a heads-up about the possibility.
In the comments section, Finola Hughes (Anna Devane) confessed she was confused when she first saw Kirsten Storms’ pic.
It left Hughes thinking Storms had a fake shiner for story-related reasons.
“I thought it was a GH storyline!!” Hughes exclaimed. “I’m thinking ‘who would dare to give Maxie a black eye?’”
In Hughes’ defense, it really does look like a black eye at first glance! We admittedly would’ve liked a fun guessing game about who decked Maxie, but we’ll have to settle for chuckling over Storms’ real-life coffee catastrophe.
One fan jokingly asked if it was Corinthos Coffee that caused the trouble, so everyone had a good laugh thanks to Storms’ decision to share.
As for what’s next for Maxie, our predictions hint that she’ll continue her efforts to help Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) make amends.
