Adam Sandler has a brand new comedy special on the way, Adam Sandler: Love You. Directed by Josh Safdie, the set will be available August 27th on Netflix. Watch the first trailer below.
Adam Sandler: Love You marks the accomplished comedian and actor’s first new special since 2018’s 100% Fresh. It also sees him reunite with Safdie, as they two had previously worked together on the critically acclaimed Uncut Gems.
The sneak preview seems to promise a very Sandler-esque, chaotic night of laughs. He picks up multiple guitars, pokes fun at the audience, lets a dog loose, and says “I love you” as many times as he possibly can. Check out the full trailer below.
The special is just the latest product of Sandler’s long-running, $250 million deal with Netflix. Thus far, he’s produced eight titles for the streamer, including the recent Spaceman, animated comedy Leo, coming-of-age comedy You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, and basketball film Hustle. As part of the partnership, Netflix has officially confirmed Happy Gilmore 2 is in the works as well.
Meanwhile, Adam Sandler: Love You arrives as Safdie’s first comedy special. It also serves as his first project after he and his brother Benny confirmed they split up as creative partners.
