KFC has launched an all-new dessert that looks exactly like a sweet version of their famous popcorn chicken, and it even comes in the same mini-bucket.
The KFC fried cookie dough comes in bite-sized pieces that is the perfect sweet treat to pair with your fried chicken meal.
As can be seen in the TikTok below, the cookie dough bites are balls of chocolate chip cookie dough that are coated with batter and then deep-fried so that they are filled with delicious, melty chocolate.
The TikToker rates the cookie dough bites an 8/10, commending them for the amount of chocolate that you can taste inside the bites.
When popular food blogger Snackolator announced this release on his Instagram stating that he and KFC, “weren’t talking right now”, he commented on the simplicity of the treat and how delicious it looks.
You’re probably drooling thinking of these already, but bear in mind that at the minute, they are only available in Australia.
US KFC fans in the comments were outraged, noting, “OMG, this is NOT really happening! I NEED to try!”
Others were thinking of taking action, saying, “Bring it to USA, let’s start a petition!”
The new cookie dough bites mark the second circular-shaped item that KFC has released, but only time will tell if they will be as big of a hit as the popcorn chicken. In the first 24 hours of release, dozes of TikTokers have reviewed the new dessert.
The bites actually launched in Australia for a limited time as a test item in November 2023, and are back across the country from the beginning of August 2024.
They come in packs of three and cost $3 Australian dollars, which comes to just under $2 US dollars.
US fans don’t need to despair just yet though, because the Starbucks Fall lineup has been leaked by an employee and it will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth.
