Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that a long-awaited comeback is in the works. It’s been two years since Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) was part of the action in Salem, but she’s finally headed back to the show.
Alison Sweeney is reprising her role as troublemaking Sami for some new episodes, but it’ll be a while before they hit the screen.
Since Days films several months in advance, DOOL viewers won’t see Sami again until 2025.
However, it sounds like it’ll be worth the wait since Days writers have some stunning drama in store for Sami Brady.
Sweeney spoke with TV Insider about her return and confirmed that she was “thrilled” to get another comeback invitation.
Although Sweeney is often busy with other projects at Hallmark, she had some time before her next movie and was able to fit Days into her schedule.
That’s great news since it means Sami can come home – and it turns out her new story is a doozy!
When Sweeney was first approached about coming back, she confessed to being curious about the reason for Sam’s return to town.
“With Sami it could be anything,” Sweeney admitted.
Even so, Sweeney was truly blown away by the story they wanted her to play.
It’s probably hard to surprise Sweeney since she’s such a soap pro, but she was indeed taken aback over what the writers had in mind.
“Well, it was definitely an unexpected storyline they pitched me,” Sweeney insisted. “I have to tell you, of all the ideas, I was pretty shocked.”
Although Sweeney hinted about always being nervous when she heads back on set, she never lets it show in her fantastic portrayal.
Sami Brady is one of the most confident and entertaining characters around, so we look forward to seeing her make another splash in Salem.
