TWO Fast and the Furious legends have met for the first time in the franchise’s 23-year history.

The franchise’s focal point Vin Diesel, 57, and 2Fast 2Furious star Devon Aoki, 41, greeted each other with a big, warm hug and celebrated the life of their late co-star Paul Walker after finally being introduced.

Footage of the poignant moment was shared on social media by Devon and her half-brother, superstar DJ Steve Aoki, 46, who was the uniting factor.

The actors were in Belgium to watch Steve perform at Tomorrowland – the world’s most prominent EDM festival.

Devon captioned her collection of snaps: “Family [heart emoji] Two decades later, heart is full.”

While Steve wrote, “It only took 20 years for this moment.”

The footage saw the trio embracing and sharing what looked to be a meaningful conversation, though its contents were inaudible.

Fast 2 is the only film in the franchise’s main 10-picture canon that doesn’t feature Vin as petty car criminal turned government asset Dom Toretto. It remains Devon’s sole effort as street racer Suki.

Until now, many hadn’t realized the family connection between Devon and Steve.

One person commented, “Suki from 2Fast2Furious is related to Steve Aoki??”

“Stoooop lol how did it not click that SUKI was his sister,” another said.

“Right? It blew my mind too, I didn’t even know her last name til i connected the dots,” a third person wrote.

When Fast X part one, the latest film in the increasingly epic franchise, was released last year, we gave it a four-star review.

Dulcie Pearce said of the flick, “Nothing is sacred in this first bit of the two-part finale, so you have to make a choice — slip your brain into cruise control and allow the insanity to wash over you, or take it seriously.

“And no one involved in the film is doing the latter, so I’d strongly advise going along for the ride.”

The fast films have been some of the most unlikely blockbuster success stories in recent memory, with the street racing series evolving and outgrowing its roots like no other.

And it has been a draw for A-list names like Jason Momoa, Dwayne Johnson and Helen Mirren to boot.

What makes its success all the more striking is that it continued to get even bigger at the box office following the death of its charismatic and handsome lead man, Paul Walker, in a car accident back in 2013.

He and his friend, Roger Rodas, 38, were returning from an event for Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide, for victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

Rodas was driving his Porsche Carrera GT when he crashed into a concrete lamp post and a tree at high speed before the car caught fire, killing them both.

An investigation into the accident concluded the vehicle was traveling at 94mph in a 45mph zone.

The final Fast film will be released in cinemas in 2026.
