Court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun state that Ryan, 36, has 30 days to obtain a new council, or he’ll have to represent himself in his and Mackenzie‘s custody war.

It comes after Ryan skipped his June 8 court hearing despite his attorney being present.

A Hamilton County General Sessions Court clerk confirmed to The U.S. Sun that the hearing went on as scheduled, but Ryan did not attend.

“His lawyer was there, but he wasn’t,” a source close to the case exclusively revealed. “He wasted the court’s time.”

FIGHT FOR THE KIDS

Mackenzie, 27, currently has full custody of their two kids, 5-year-old Jagger and 4-year-old Stella, and Ryan is requesting a 50/50 split.

However, the insider claimed that Ryan isn’t helping his case as he rarely goes to visitations with his kids and only spends a few moments with them when he does.

Ryan previously claimed that he regularly attended those visits, which took place at his mother’s home, until Mackenzie suddenly stopped bringing the kids.

The TV star is also a father to a 15-year-old son, Bentley, with his ex, Maci Bookout, 32, who he appears to have mended his fractured relationship with based on recent social media posts.

Maci even bonded with Ryan’s girlfriend, Amanda Connor, 33, on Monday’s episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter, bringing the exes closer together.

But Ryan’s relationship with Mackenzie doesn’t appear to have the same trajectory as their divorce keeps getting messier.

Mackenzie initially filed for divorce in February 2023 after the pair got into an explosive fight that left their Tennessee home completely destroyed.

A year later, they attempted to resolve things in mediation, but the duo could not settle the case.

The divorce was eventually dismissed after no new filings occurred in 270 days.

Ryan filed a separate divorce case in March 2024, which is still ongoing.

RYAN EDWARDS’ RELATIONSHIP STRUGGLES

Ryan Edwards and his estranged wife, Mackenzie, have also been in court over their divorce and custody of their kids:

Ryan is battling Mackenzie, 28, while trying to divorce her.

Mackenzie filed for divorce from her husband in February 2023 after getting married in 2017.

The U.S. Sun previously reported the divorce was dismissed in February 2024, because there were no filings in the case for 270 days.

Ryan then filed his own divorce case against his estranged wife

According to a Tennessee court docket viewed by The U.S. Sun, Ryan filed for “divorce with minor child” in early March.

He also filed a permanent proposed parenting plan.

Ryan requested to be the “designated the primary residential parent” of their two children and “that child support be assigned from Mackenzie’s income.”

The U.S. Sun also reported Mackenzie filed an order of protection against Ryan on March 28, 2023.

The order asked Ryan to have no contact and stay away from her.

In early April 2024, a hearing took place and both parties agreed to a mutual restraining order.

In the midst of it all, Ryan has dealt with his own legal and substance abuse issues, landing him in and out of jail.

Ryan has appeared to clean up his act after completing a 28-day treatment program at a rehabilitation facility following his stint in the Silverdale Detention Center in April 2023.

He has managed to stay out of trouble since his release and has been drug-free for over a year.

Fans recently praised Ryan for looking “healthy” in photos with his family and girlfriend after maintaining his sobriety.

The U.S. Sun previously reported that Judge Gary Starnes also commended Ryan for turning his life around during a court appearance in April.

Ryan is due back in court for another check-in on November 18.
