Gina Carano is hoping that her ex-The Mandalorian co-star will be put on the stand in her wrongful termination lawsuit against Disney.

According to reports, a recent court filing from Gina Carano’s legal team names Pedro Pascal, The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau, former Disney head Bob Chapek, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy, and even reality TV host Bear Grylles as potential witnesses in the upcoming trial, set to begin in September (Grylls is named because an episode of his Running Wild series featuring Carano was canceled).

The lawsuit, which is being backed by controversial billionaire and Twitter troll Elon Musk, makes allegations of wrongful termination and discriminatory treatment against the Mouse House, who fired Carano from The Mandalorian in 2021 due to her social media activity.

The post in question came in February 2021, when Carano compared the experience of Jewish people during the Holocaust to that of Republicans in the United States in recent years.

“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors… even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views,” read the post, which was shared to Carano’s Instagram story.

After a couple of years of making The Daily Wire-produced movies, Carano announced earlier this year that she was suing Disney seeking to be repaid for the ‘millions in income’ she claims she’s lost. In addition to being fired from The Mandalorian, the spinoff she was set to star in, Rangers of the New Republic, was also canceled.

“U.S. District Judge Sherilyn Peace Garnett rejected arguments that Carano’s discrimination claims are barred by the First Amendment, finding that the actress may have been terminated from the series in retaliation for holding disfavored political beliefs. Disney had argued that it’s entitled to protect its speech in the Star Wars series from association with views that it and many viewers considered offensive and contrary to its message, which it said includes respect, integrity and inclusion.” [via The Hollywood Reporter]

Had Carano listened to Pascal’s advice in the first place, however, she wouldn’t even be in the position, as Pascal tried to warn her that her controversial views could get her in trouble.

“He’s like, ‘I understand, but we’re both passionate,’ and I understand that. I know he’s said and done some hurtful things. But I don’t think that posting our opinions on Twitter, especially at this time in our world, is the best thing for either of us,’” Carano told Tucker Carlson.

“Just put #transrights in your feed. Do it and they’ll leave you alone,’” she said Pascal told her.

Carano, however, didn’t take Pascal’s advice “because that’s not my style, to put hashtag anything. I’m also not going to put #TrumpsRights. He knows 1,000 percent I’m not homophobic or transphobic.”

While Carano’s career has fallen off a cliff since being canned by Lucasfilm, Pascal has become one of the biggest stars in the world. Not only does he continue to anchor The Mandalorian, but he also headlines the acclaimed HBO series The Last of Us, has been cast in the foundational Marvel Cinematic Universe role of Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, and has upcoming projects with acclaimed directors such as Ridley Scott (Gladiator II), Ari Aster (Eddington), and Celine Song (The Materialists).
