General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that one GH star is calling it quits after over two decades of marriage. In a joint statement shared on both their Instagram accounts, Cameron Mathison (Drew Quartermaine) and Vanessa Mathison (ex-Mia Lombardi) announced that their relationship has come to an end.
“After 22 years of marriage, we have made the difficult decision to part ways. We enter this new chapter with deep love, kindness, and respect for each other. We hold gratitude in our hearts for the wonderful years we shared together,” the exes said in their post.
Cameron and Vanessa have a son as well as a daughter, so it’s clear that they want to keep their focus on Lucas, 21, and Leila, 18.
Although their family will look different now, Vanessa and Cameron are clearly committed to their kids during this tough time.
Cameron and Vanessa also clarified that they’re keeping things amicable since they highlighted that their friendship remains intact.
“Our children have been and will continue to be our highest priority, and we will forever share in our devotion and love for them,” the now former flames insisted.
“We remain friends, and both wish the best for one another. We sincerely appreciate your respect for our family’s privacy during this transition.”
Vanessa and Cameron got married back in 2002 and seemed happy until recently, but you never really know what’s going on behind closed doors!
It’s good that Cameron and Vanessa are making the choice that’s right for them, so we wish them the best of luck as they pursue new paths following this split.
