Gwen Stefani’s 15-year-old son, Zuma Rossdale, has made his onstage debut, performing a cover of Zach Bryan’s “Revival” at a bar owned by his stepdad, Blake Shelton.
Donning a cowboy hat and holding a parlor acoustic, Rossdale took the stage at the Tishomingo, Oklahoma bar to deliver an earnest rendition of Bryan’s 2020 release, carrying the melody with a touch of vocal grit. As he finished, the crowd responded with uproarious applause, augmented by his stepdad Shelton (standing off to the side of the stage) and mother Stefani, out in the crowd. Check out videos of the performance below.
Rossdale is one of Stefani’s three sons, along with Kingston and Apollo. Their biological father, Gavin Rossdale, is the lead vocalist for the band Bush, with Shelton taking on stepdad duties after his marriage to Stefani in 2021.
The younger Rossdale isn’t the only child of famous musicians to showcase their musical talents recently — in fact, he’s not even the only child of a former ‘90s ska star who’s taken a stage. Earlier this year, Sublime reunited with new frontman Jakob Nowell, the son of the late Bradley Nowell, for a set at Coachella 2024, where, coincidentally, Rossdale’s mom reunited with her former ska group, No Doubt. Last yer, Rossdale’s brother, Kingston, also performed at Shelton’s Tishomingo bar, singing a few original songs.
Rossdale’s three parental figures who double as world-famous musicians are all booked for shows. Gavin Rossdale is currently on the road with Bush for their 2024 greatest hits tour (get tickets); Stefani has an upcoming set in Atlantic City, followed by an appearance at South Star Festival in Alabama (get tickets); and Shelton has two upcoming performances in Minnesota and Michigan (get tickets).
Bryan himself is also currently on tour (get tickets here).
