MILEY Cyrus and Selena Gomez fans have learned that the former Disney stars didn’t act together on a crossover due to boy drama.
Jennifer Stone, who appeared on Wizards of Waverly Place alongside Selena, 32, discussed the brief feud on the Wizards of Waverly Pod podcast.

Jennifer, 31, recalled a Disney crossover episode from 2009, which brought together stars from Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, and The Suite Life on Deck.
Miley, 31, and Selena both appeared on the show but did not act in any scenes together.
“Did they not get along during that shoot or something?” David DeLuise, who co-hosts the podcast, asked.
“The intermittently got along,” Jennifer revealed, adding, “I mean, come on. It was, like, high school. Like, they both dated Nick [Jonas]…”
“I think Miley dated him first and then Selena dated him, and then it was just messy high school nonsense,” she continued.
“They’re fine now. They’re all good now. But, yeah, it was high school BS.”
Miley dated Nick briefly from 2006 to 2007, while Selena dated him in 2008, broke up with him the following year, and rekindled briefly in 2010.
JUST BEING MILEY
The singer/actress stopped playing Hannah Montana in 2011 to focus on her music.
She took on a scandalous new persona for several years but has since scaled back significantly.
Miley has been open with fans about leaving Hannah Montana in the rear-view mirror, as have members of her family.
The Flowers singer’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, whom she’s currently feuding with, told GC in 2011 the show took a toll on him and his family.
“I’ll tell you right now, the damn show destroyed my family, he said at the time.
“There’s no doubt about it. Somewhere along the line, both mine and Miley’s faith had been shaken.”

They do not have any children together.
In May 2024, Billy Ray filed for divorce from Firerose, accusing her of cheating on him.
Miley has never considered returning to the role.
FAMILY DRAMA
These days, she’s focused on her music career, but some drama is unavoidable.
Recently, her fractured relationship with her father was thrown into the spotlight after audio allegedly capturing him calling his daughter a “devil” and berating his estranged wife, Firerose, was released.
Miley and the Achy Breaky Heart singer have had a strained relationship since he started dating the 35-year-old, and his alleged comments about her didn’t help.
Amid their feud and before the audio leak, Billy Ray maintained that he was proud of Miley despite their differences.
Since then, it’s been reported that the father-daughter duo has begun to speak again.
