Crowds Watch Show from Giant Hill

Crowds Watch Show from Giant Hill

Even more than a year since the launch of Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour,” it remains a tough ticket to get. However, for the Swifties unable to gain entry inside of the Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany this past weekend, a hill overlooking the stadium provided a convenient solution.

Word quickly spread of the life hack, and by time Saturday’s “Eras Tour” concert kicked off, an estimated 40,000 people gathered on the hill outside of the venue. Come Sunday, another 10,000 joined in on the fun.

Swift acknowledged the massive crowds during Sunday’s concert. “We are lucky enough to get to play this show for 74,000 beautiful people in this stadium, and if the reports are correct, about 50,000 beautiful people outside the stadium,” she said. “Thank you for coming to ‘The Eras Tour,’ whether you’re in the stadium or outside of the stadium. We are so lucky to be here with you. And this is actually a really special night, because this is our last show in Germany. I cannot express to you how wonderful the German crowds have been to us over the last few weeks. We are so sad to be leaving you but we will be back, we will be back to see you.”

Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” has a few more stops in the UK and Europe, including dates in Warsaw, Vienna, and London through August. Then in October, she’ll kick off the final leg of North American tour dates. If the venue you’re planning to attend doesn’t have a hill, you can look for last-minute tickets here.
