Miranda Lambert released her new single Alimony on Wednesday.

The country song details a woman who is looking to divorce her husband and seeking spousal support.

The lyrics read, “Just know as soon as you get caught / They’ll all be good as mine.

“I called that lawyer up in Dallas, the one who’s livin’ in that palace / So I know he’s good at winnin’, if you think there’s somethin’ that you’re missin.”

Speaking on the song’s origins, Miranda said, “Everybody loves a shuffle,” as per People.

“My parents were private investigators in Dallas, Texas who worked a ton of divorce cases in highfalutin’ parts of town, so this wasn’t hard to write.

“I’d heard about it my whole life.

“We used every Texas metaphor we could come up with on purpose; we wanted to take something kind of sh**ty and put some humor back in it.”

She continued, “I mean, the guy gets out pretty easy if all he does is move back in with his mom.”

Alimony is part of the upcoming 14-song album Postcards From Texas.

Miranda Lambert’s husband Brendan McLoughlin caught grinding on women and getting handsy at country star’s Nashville bar

STEPPIN’ OUT?

Miranda’s lyrics come weeks after her husband, Brendan, was caught grinding on women back in June.

Brendan was spotted at his wife’s Nashville bar, Casa Rosa.

Videos of the incident were posted and deleted on TikTok; however, The U.S. Sun obtained the videos taken by a bar attendee.

Brendan was seen having an intimate conversation with a woman at the bar while dancing with another person.

The woman was also seen caressing Brendan’s face.

A source told The U.S. Sun, “It was hours of him acting like this.”

Miranda Lambert’s Relationship History

Miranda Lambert rose to fame in 2003, after she appeared on Nashville Star. The singer released a number of hits that put her on the map in the mainstream country world. Early in her career, she was linked to fellow country crooner Blake Shelton, whom she eventually married. The pair divorced in 2015, however, and both have moved on.

Here’s a look at Miranda’s relationship history:

Blake Shelton:

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton got engaged in 2010 after several years of dating. The pair married in 2011 and stayed together until 2015.

Anderson East:

Miranda and Anderson went public with their relationship in 2016. They were together for two years, calling it quits in 2018.

Evan Felker:

Miranda and Evan, famous for being a singer in the Turnpike Troubadours, dated briefly from June to August 2018. At the time, Evan was still legally married to his estranged wife Staci Felker.

Brendan McLoughlin:

Miranda debuted her romance with Brendan in February 2019, revealing that they were married. They celebrated their second wedding anniversary in February 2021 and attended the Grammy Awards together two months later.

After the video circulated, one of the women seen with Brendan shared her story with InTouch.

“We recognized him, and we all thought it was cool that he was there, and mentioned hoping for a Miranda appearance,” she recalled.

“Somehow, later, we were let into the roped-off section where he was. I’m not sure how that was initiated or happened.”

The woman said Miranda’s husband was “friendly and casual, but never inappropriate or suggestive in any way.”

She continued to say, “He was not flirty,” noting that the closeness was due to the loud music in the bar.

When asked about caressing Brendan’s face, the woman said, “I’m not sure why I put my hands on his face — I just have a tendency to do that at times without even realizing.

“I am responsible for how that may have appeared to the outside world.

“I never intended it suggestively, probably more ‘motherly,’ as that’s who I am, but that isn’t something that should reflect badly on him at all.”

Miranda has been married to Brendan since January 2019.
