Elon Musk sparked a public feud this week with his daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson, telling Jordan Peterson in an interview that his “Son is dead, killed by the woke mind virus.” Vivian Wilson, who is very much alive, clapped back at her estranged father on Threads — and now, Musk’s former partner Grimes is siding with Wilson, writing on Twitter, “I love and am forever endlessly proud of Vivian.”
Musk has expressed transphobic views and disdain for his daughter Vivian’s transition before. In July of 2020, the Tesla and Space-X CEO tweeted “pronouns suck,” which quickly caught the attention of then-partner Grimes: “I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a [c]all. I cannot support hate. Please stop this. I know this isn’t your heart,” Grimes wrote before they both deleted their respective tweets.
Still, Musk’s transphobia ramped up as his daughter transitioned upon turning 18 in 2022 — Wilson also claimed around the same time that she no longer wanted to be associated with her father. From then onwards, Musk has publicly expressed numerous anti-trans views, loosened regulations on Twitter’s duties to prevent anti-trans hate speech, and condemned gender-affirming care.
This all led up to Musk’s remarks on Jordan Peterson’s podcast this week, which were followed by Wilson’s Threads rebuttal. “I’m legally recognized as a woman in the state of California and I don’t concern myself with the opinions of those who are below me,” she wrote. “Obviously Elon can’t say the same because in a ketamine-fueled haze, he’s desperate for attention and validation from an army of degenerate red-pilled incels and pick-mes who are quick to give it to him. Go touch some fucking grass✨”
Now, Grimes has once again taken to Twitter to side with Vivian Wilson. Grimes is no longer Musk’s partner, but she did have three children with the billionaire — X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus. Musk, on the other hand, had Vivian with his ex-wife Justine Wilson, whom he divorced in 2008.
