LOVE Island’s Rob Rausch has given a major update on where he stands with his ex Leah Kateb.
Rob and Leah met and had a major connection during the beginning of the reality dating show’s sixth season.
On Tuesday, fans got to listen in on his tell-all interview with Alex Cooper on her podcast Call Her Daddy.
During the nearly 90-minute conversation, Alex and Rob discussed his dating life as well as his second time in the Love Island villa.
Rob made a brief appearance on Season 5 but was eliminated after five days.
However, this time, he stayed until the very end and made a quick connection with Leah.

As the episodes continued, Rob had a wandering eye and went on to connect with other women – including bombshell Andrea – who was quickly eliminated.
Due to this, Rob and Leah called off their relationship and by the end, they remained friends.
However, many fans were dying to see the two make amends and get back together despite Leah moving on with another man, Miguel Harichi.
‘SHE’S AN AMAZING PERSON’
During the interview, Alex asked, “The entire world wanted you guys to end up together.
“Would you ever try to make it work in the real world?”
The TikTok star tried to let the world down easy, “I think after everything, I think we will be amazing friends, and I think I’d rather just focus on that for now.
“Love being around her. She’s an amazing person. So f***ing funny. I am laughing the whole time I’m with her usually.
“But I also think Miguel is a really great guy. I love Miguel.
“I think that we’re great friends and that’s a great spot to be [in] and I’m happy with it.
I’m content in that I would be content being friends with her,” he concluded.

‘WE NEED THEM TOGETHER’
As the episodes aired on Peacock, fans were desperate for Leah and Rob to work things out.
One wrote on X, “I want Rob and Leah back together. The chemistry is too raw I’m sorry!”
“We NEED rob and Leah together,” a second echoed.
A third Love Island viewer said, “I’m rooting for Rob and Leah. Like why can’t they just be together?!?!?”
ON TO THE NEXT
Just days before Rob’s interview went live, Miguel talked about his future with Leah.
“Leah is an incredible woman. [We] get along in a way that I wasn’t expecting to ever get along with anybody in the villa,” he revealed to Us Weekly.
“We have such similarities, our banter is the same. She understands my goofy side. She understands me for who I am. She took me away [with] how incredible of a person she is.”
He went on to discuss that he wants to move forward with Leah and see where their relationship takes them.
“She’s definitely someone that I’ll hold dear for, I think, the rest of my life,” he said.
Leah and Miguel made it to the end of the show but didn’t win.
