A TRAVELLER woman has revealed that there is one job that men in her community are banned from doing.
Zoey revealed that if traveller men do the cleaning or any other domestic chores, they will end up on a Facebook scandal page and will be “made a show of”.

Taking to TikTok, she said that cleaning is a “women’s job” and added that only the women in her community have to cook and do domestic chores.
“Men don’t have to do anything”, she said.
She said that there are no traveller men in the entire world that clean, as in her culture as it is “forbidden”.
Zoey said that she think it is good that men in other cultures help out with the cleaning, but added that this is something that will never happen in the travelling community.
In a previous video, Zoey revealed a number of things that traveller girls are banned from doing before they get married.
She said: “Before we get married, we aren’t allowed to drink, and we’re not allowed to smoke.”
She added that traveller girls are not allowed to mix with people from outside the traveller community.
“You can mix with them in school, but outside school you’re not allowed,” she said.
When Zoey was younger, she said she would never even bother asking her parents if she could have a sleepover at a non-traveller’s house, as she knew the answer would be no.
“That would never happen in a million years,” she said.
Another cultural difference between travellers and non-travellers is that travellers drop out of school when they are very young.
Zoey explained that some children in her community don’t even go to secondary school whilst others drop out at 13.
Her video, which was posted under the username @zoey_pon, has gone viral, racking up 71,000 views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
One person said: “My best friend is non traveller & her husband is a traveller.
“He does most of the house work as his wife works and he has their home spotless.”
A second person said: “I’m a traveller man and I help out and clean.”
A third person said: “That’s sexist.”
