Metallica Announce 2024 Helping Hands Benefit Concert

Metallica have announced preliminary details of this year’s Helping Hands Concert & Auction, which will once again be hosted by funnyman Jimmy Kimmel. The event will take place December 13th at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.

The concert and auction raise money for the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which focuses on workforce education, the fight against hunger, disaster relief, and other causes.

Heavy Consequence was present at the previous Helping Hands benefit show, which took place in December 2022 and raised more than $3 million. That event, also hosted by Kimmel, featured acoustic and electric sets from Metallica, along with an opening performance by Greta Van Fleet, as well as appearances by Robert Downey Jr., St. Vincent, Tony Hawk, Tom Morello, and more.

As of now, no other performers or guests have been announced for the 2024 edition other than Metallica. A press release promises that the full lineup will be revealed shortly.

In the meantime, Metallica are set to kick off the next North American leg of their ongoing “M72 World Tour” on August 2nd and 4th in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Tickets to their upcoming shows are available here.
