Henstridge has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared some of her secrets in an interview with WENN. “I also use Vitamin C Serum on my face every day and have for years, combined with SPF of 30 or more daily. Henstridge revealed to CBC that she is on the keto diet. “I just started a keto diet because it’s the new trend and the new fad and I need to lose weight, so I had avocado and bacon and some coffee with some MCT oil, which is a fat/coconut oil thing.” Harvard Health states that the keto diet has benefits. “Weight loss is the primary reason my patients use the ketogenic diet. Previous research shows good evidence of a faster weight loss when patients go on a ketogenic or very low carbohydrate diet compared to participants on a more traditional low-fat diet, or even a Mediterranean diet.

When it comes to her diet, Henstridge tells WENN that she believes in moderation. “I try to eat well and clean. I certainly feel so much better when I do, however sugar is a tough one for me; I’m sort of always tempted by it and struggling to avoid it. Otherwise, I love to cook and I do about five days a week. I certainly like my occasional glass of wine, I’ve been blessed with the moderation gene, though.”

Henstridge shared some of her wellness secrets with WENN. She says that she does exercises that she actually enjoys. “I sometimes work with a trainer, then take breaks. I’m really not a fan at all of the gym so it’s tough for me to stay on that path too long. I’m really an outdoorsy person, so if it’s mountain biking, or something that makes it feel like I’m not exercising, that’s always my preference.”

As you can see from her Instagram story, Henstridge goes for hikes to keep herself in shape. Harvard Health reports that hiking has a lot of benefits. “Hiking over uneven terrain requires more energy than walking on a level surface, so it burns more calories. If you are hiking uphill, your body has to work even harder. A rigorous hike may offer many of the same physical benefits as interval training, which alternates low- and high-intensity exercise to increase cardiovascular fitness. During a hike, your heart rate goes up as you move up an incline and drops when you head downhill.”
