CHANEL West Coast has debuted a new look for her reality series, West Coast Hustle, and admitted to getting plastic surgery.
The TV personality confirmed that she underwent a “rough” liposuction procedure rather than taking weight loss drugs or relying on exercise.
Chanel, 35, opened up about her altered appearance in an interview with Page Six.
The former Ridiculousness host said that she considered Ozempic, a popular drug used to achieve weight loss, but opted for surgery instead.
When she decided to go that route, she said she felt a need to be transparent about it with her fans.
“I’m really weird about … medications and stuff. I’ve heard all these things like, if you stop taking the Ozempic, you could possibly gain more weight. And I’m like, ‘That’s definitely not what I want,'” Chanel said.
“I don’t want to be stuck having to take something like that for the rest of my life, you know what I mean? So I was just never a fan.”
She went on, “For everybody [Ozempic] works for, more power to you, dude. If it’s working for you and you feel great and it’s not effecting your health, then I’m happy for you,” she said.
“But I’m kind of scared of stuff like that. I think it’s funny I wasn’t scared for lipo and then scared of that. But lipo’s like a one-time thing and it’s over.”
Chanel revealed that she got her surgery before filming began for her new reality show.
Returning to the spotlight ignited her desire to work on other projects, including her music career, and she felt pressure to get her body back to its pre-baby form.
“I’ve been a skinny person my whole life. I’m one of those people that, you know, I can kind of get away with eating my Taco Bell and In ‘N Out and I was just always skinny. But after having a baby, my body just completely changed and I could tell,” she shared.
“I knew I had this show coming out, I knew I was about to be back in the spotlight, I was about to be working hard on my music again.”
Chanel welcomed a baby girl called Bowie with her boyfriend, Dom Fenison, in November 2022.
OPEN AND HONEST
She was eager to keep it real with her fans as she went through the surgery process, admitting that she might have reconsidered if someone had been open with her about the challenges of choosing that path.
“I was trying so hard to get back in shape the natural way as fast as I could but it wasn’t fast enough and I’m like, ‘Listen, my knees are killing me, I’ve got to get this weight off faster’,” she told Page Six.
“And I wanted to be open about getting the lipo and about that process, too, because it was rough.”
She noted in her interview that liposuction was more difficult for her than having a C-section during the delivery of her daughter.
“Honestly it was literally more rough than getting a C-section and giving birth. And a lot of people aren’t open about it. I’m like, ‘Dude if more women were open about it, I might have not got it if I knew how rough it was going to be,” she admitted.
“But I wanted to be open about that and show people that yes, I’m getting this procedure and it’s going to help me be skinny faster. But it’s also rough and a lot to deal with.”
MOM LIFE
Chanel rose to fame on Ridiculousness, which catapulted her into the public eye alongside host Rob Dyrdek.
While she’s keeping plenty busy with TV and music projects, these days her life looks a little different.
In 2023, she announced that she was quitting Ridiculousness after 30 seasons.
She announced her exit on Instagram, sharing a post with the caption, “I”m SO excited for this next chapter!”
“To the fans who are sad I will no longer be on Ridiculousness don’t worry… I have my own docuseries TV show coming out soon!” she continued.
Chanel revealed that she’s “very excited” to step into her next role as executive producer and “develop some amazing TV & film projects.”
She ended her post, writing, “Thank you to the fans for 12 years of watching & supporting me.”
She also thanked MTV and Paramount for the “amazing opportunity,” and signed off with, “Love you all & I promise to deliver you some fire music, film & television soon.”
I wanted to be open about getting the lipo and about that process, too, because it was rough.”

GROWING FAMILY
Chanel welcomed her first child, a daughter named Bowie Breeze Fenison on November 2, 2022, with her boyfriend Dom.
She shared the exciting news of her baby’s arrival, as well as the first photos of the child, on her Instagram.
“I’m officially a mommy and she is 1 week old today! I ended up needing to have a C-section to deliver her and it was so scary but it was also the best day of my life,” she wrote at the time.
“I’m so happy my baby girl came out healthy and happy. She is truly the chillest baby ever and I feel so blessed. I have never felt more love in my heart.
“She is my whole world now and I feel so complete with her and her daddy by my side. I can’t explain how amazing giving birth to a little human is but it’s the most fulfilling and rewarding experience I’ve ever had.”
She added, “She is absolutely perfect to me, and her Daddy and I both are infatuated with her.”
“Everything I’ve been through has led me to this point in my life with you my baby girl,” wrote Chanel, elsewhere in her caption.
