Meghan Markle Reportedly Still ‘Feels Hurt’ By Royal Feud

Meghan Markle “genuinely still feels hurt” by the ongoing rift with the royal family, according to a report.

The Duchess of Sussex allegedly seeks reconciliation, but insiders and former royal staff doubt it will happen due to broken trust.

Meanwhile, Prince William, the Prince of Wales, remains firm in his stance, feeling deeply hurt by their actions.

In the U.S., Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have built a new public image, though the Duke’s recent Pat Tillman Award selection is facing serious backlash.

Four years after she and Prince Harry stepped back from their royal duties, Meghan is reportedly still dealing with the fallout from the ongoing rift between the Sussexes and the royal family and “genuinely feels hurt” by the estrangement.

An insider who spoke to Express shared, “Harry is more willing to move on, let’s just say that,” while Meghan would like to have a conversation to mend things with the Windsor family.

“It’s not a case of Meghan being difficult, she genuinely feels hurt and would like some kind of sit-down to hash things through — but that’s not something the other side is willing to consider at this time,” the insider explained.

However, despite Meghan’s alleged wish to reconcile, it appears unlikely that any reconciliation will happen soon.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles, stated that “too much damage” has occurred for the relationship to return to what it once was.

“[Harry] caused damage and broke down trust,” the butler told the New York Post. “It’s difficult when you’re a future monarch.”

Harrold added: “I doubt they’ll ever get back the relationship they had originally. That was a very different relationship built on trust. It’s going to take time. William is a tough character. He’s a good guy.”

According to Harrold, the Sussexes’ path back into the royal fold hinges on Harry issuing a public apology for the pain caused by his revealing memoir, “Spare.”

Shortly after leaving the royal family and relocating to Montecito, California, in 2020, Harry and Meghan embarked on several tell-all projects, divulging details about the ongoing rift between them and the royal family.

Their interview with Oprah Winfrey and their six-part Netflix documentary exposed the depth of their struggles but have not helped mend their relationship with the royals.

Meanwhile, the couple has built their brand and public image in the United States, garnering numerous awards over the years. Harry, founder of the Invictus Games, was recently honored with the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the 2024 ESPYs.

Harry’s Pat Tillman Award honor has faced criticism, including from Tillman’s mother, Mary Tillman.

She expressed her surprise to the Daily Mail, saying, “I am shocked as to why they would select such a controversial and divisive individual to receive the award. There are recipients that are far more fitting, individuals working in the veteran community doing tremendous things to assist veterans.”

“It’s going to Prince Harry,” McAfee remarked. “Who I don’t even think is a Prince anymore, right? He said don’t call me that? See, why does the ESPYs do this sh-t?”

Boston Connor, a member of McAfee’s crew, called the decision to award Harry “asinine,” and others felt the award should have gone to “someone from the United States.”

Connor added, “This is like actually the most embarrassing thing I’ve seen in my entire life.”

Prince William has reportedly made it clear that his views differ from those of his father, King Charles III, regarding reconciliation with Harry and his family.

Unlike the King, who seemingly desires to forgive and reunite with Harry, Meghan, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, William holds a different stance.

According to a source who spoke to Daily Mail, William feels that Harry and Meghan’s actions have severely damaged his reputation and deeply hurt Kate Middleton.

“While the King hankers for the day when he can see his Sussex grandchildren without the rancor that seems permanently to surround relations with his California-based son, William has, as a friend says, ‘turned the page’ on that chapter of his life,” the source shared.
