Arrow's Emily Bett Rickards in Workout Gear "Ran That One Time"

Emily Bett Rickards is running with her dog – in her workout clothes. In a new social media post the Arrow star shows off her amazing body in running clothes, hanging out with her dog. “On days when Riley doesn’t feel like training for his 170km ultra through the Alps I like to remind him of the time I ran that one time. Here you go @rihowlett,” she captioned the post. How does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here are her top diet and fitness tips.

Emily is a cycler. She is obsessed with SoulCycle telling Self she is an addict. She also rides bikes outside. The Cleveland Clinic explains that biking, a low-impact aerobic exercise, is great for building muscle, improving strength and flexibility, and improving balance. It can also boost mental health and help other health conditions, including arthritis.

Emily is a hiker. “Those of us eager to partake in the (sunny) Canadian hiking season are shamelessly eavesdropping on every stranger who is boasting about their favourite trails,” she wrote in a recent post. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include building stronger muscles and bones, improving your sense of balance, improving your heart health, and decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems.

Sunday mornings at 11 am you will find Emily “usually in hot yoga,” she told Self. Harvard Health explains that yoga offers lots of benefits. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

Emily loves matcha tea. “Whisking matcha on the beach in the middle of the Pacific North West is my love language. That and telling me you recycled everything properly. 🍵 ♻️,” she captioned a post. Why should you drink a cup? According to studies a variety of teas may boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease.

In her latest post Emily goes for a run. According to the Mayo Clinic, running is great for cardiovascular health, muscle building, and weight loss. “For every mile run, the average person will burn approximately 100 calories,” they say.
