The Funeral Portrait Team Up With Spencer Charnas For Pummelling New Single 'Suffocate City'

The Funeral Portrait have joined forces with Ice Nine Kills‘ Spencer Charnas for pummelling new single ‘Suffocate City’.

With the theatrical emo band’s new album arriving later this year via Better Noise Music, it follows the release of their collaboration with The Used‘s Bert McCracken on anthemic track ‘You’re So Ugly When You Cry’.

Speaking about ‘Suffocate City’, the band’s vocalist Lee Jennings has shared:

“‘Suffocate City’ speaks to our listeners’ sense of fear.

“The fear of being stuck in a dead-end job, a dead-end relationship, or a dead-end financial situation. The fear of ‘never getting out’ is a ubiquitous experience that anyone can connect and relate to.”

And speaking on his collaboration with the band, Spencer Charnas has said:

“Thrilled to team up with our good friends The Funeral Portrait on their track ‘Suffocate City’. We had a killer time working with them on the song and the accompanying music video. Check it out now.”
