With their first full-length album in thirteen years ‘Fire’ out today, Kittie have shared an incendiary music video for the record’s title track.
The band’s long-awaited new album comes after a 13-year hiatus, and features comeback single ‘Eyes Wide Open’, cathartic cut ‘We Are Shadows’, explosive ‘Vultures’, and feisty single ‘One Foot In The Grave’.
Unveiling a furious new video for the album’s title track, vocalist and guitarist Morgan Lander has shared:
“We’ve gone from 0 to 100 within the last few years and it’s almost unfathomable that the culmination of all of our work, sacrifice, pain and triumph has finally come to fruition with the release of our 7th studio album, ‘Fire’. We burn with more determination, focus and drive than ever, and hope that these elements resonate with every word, and can be heard in every note of this album. ‘Fire’ is for you!”

Rock Sound recently caught up with Morgan to chat all about ‘Fire’ and the band’s comeback.
Speaking on making new KITTIE music for the first time in over a decade, she told us:
“We’ve had a lot of ups and downs in our career over the years, a lot of heartbreak, a lot of bullshit, and we all felt like if we were going to do it again, we wanted to do it for the right reasons. We wanted to be in a position to only do great stuff that we want to do, to have fun with it, and if it’s not fun, we don’t want to be involved. It’s a really nice place to be in to have the opportunity and the privilege to pick and choose. It’s something we have never experienced before and I’m grateful for it. There’s a lot of different stuff on this album. It’s quite varied. There’s a lot of abrasive stuff, a lot of melody. The ultimate goal was to bring the Kitty sound to the modern era, and working with Nick [Raskulinecz, producer] was the right move. The production value really helps to elevate it.“
