Speed Announce Debut Album ‘Only One Mode’ Via ‘Don’t Need’ Single

Aussie hardcore favourites Speed have announced their debut full-length album ‘Only One Mode’ – and shared ferocious new single ‘Don’t Need’ to tease its release.

The forthcoming record lands July 12 via Flatspot Records (US) and Last Ride Records (Aus), which will follow the band’s North American tour support for Knocked Loose earlier this year.

It’s so far been teased by killer singles ‘Real Life Love’ and ‘The First Test’, which have now been followed by the equally mammoth new tune ‘Don’t Need’.

Have a listen to the brand-new track via its gripping video below, which includes plenty of shots from their live shows and was filmed and directed by Jack Rudder, Thomas Elliott and the band themselves.

Speaking of the new track, Speed have shared:

“We’ve been going to hardcore shows and playing in bands for most of our lives now. When you do this long enough I guess you get a pretty good understanding of who you are, what you stand for and why you’re involved.

“Now, somewhat suddenly we have a lot more outsiders finding out about our culture for good or for worse. We don’t need you or anyone to tell us how to navigate that.

“Cus to us, the meaning is the same as it’s always been. We are hardcore kids in a hardcore band from Sydney, Australia.”
