VALERIE Bertinelli’s boyfriend Mike Goodnough has thrown shade at fans after getting called out for the couple’s photo.
On Friday night, Mike and Valerie, 64, attended the 51st Daytime Emmy Awards.

Mike uploaded a snapshot of the two from the ceremony onto X, formerly known as Twitter.
In the snap, Mike donned an all-black ensemble as he showed off his gray beard and mature hairstyle.
Valerie wore an all-white wardrobe as her long, straight hair flowed over her matching blazer.
From an extremely low angle, the pair giddily smiled while gazing at each other.

“So, going to the Daytime Emmy’s with [Valerie] last night was a trip,” Mike tweeted.
“There are a lot of shots floating around of the two of us but my favorite is this one.”
“I took it at the table with my phone. It’s the one that captures our relationship,” he went on.
“The celebrity stuff is fun for a minute as a novelty…but it’s just what comes with what Valerie does for a living.”
“It isn’t what matters.”
“At the end of the day, we’re just two people who got to dress up but then skipped the gala and went home and ate pizza together,” Mike concluded.

In the comments section, fans loved that the pair looked “genuinely joyful,” but there were also critics who were not fond of the “awful” camera angle.
“NEVER shoot a woman of a certain age from below the chin!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER,” the critic trolled.
“She likes the picture too. Take a deep breath.” Mike replied.
“I’ve been told by the best photographers and actresses shooting up the chin (or chins as some age) is an awful angle,” another critic slammed.

In May 2022, Valerie had filed for divorce from Tom Vitale.
She filed the paperwork on May 12 at the Los Angeles Superior Court of California and listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split,” Today reported in 2022.
The exes had been separated since December 2019.
Valerie and Tom do not share any children.
However, Valerie does share a son, Wolfgang Van Halen, 33, with her ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen.
Valerie was married to the late rock legend from 1981 to 2007.
The former couple had their son Wolfgang in 1991.

In her Instagram post, Valerie shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes clip of the two getting dressed up in their fancy outfits.
At the Daytime Emmys, the former Food Network star garnered nominations in two categories.
Valerie’s Home Cooking was nominated for the Culinary Series and Culinary Host.
‘INCREDIBLY BLESSED’
In March, Valerie revealed to USA Today that she was involved with someone new – but did not name Mike – following her divorce from her ex-husband, Tom Vitale, in May 2022.
“It’s unlike any relationship that I’ve ever experienced with a man,” the TV personality said.
” I don’t want to say too much, but I feel incredibly blessed and lucky to have met him because I wasn’t expecting it!”
