It’s been three months since Ariana Grande released her seventh studio album, eternal sunshine, and in support of the LP, she stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform the song “the boy is mine.”
Outfitted in a billowy black dress and a mask with cat ears reminiscent of her My Everything era, Grande gave a sleek performance showing off her massive pipes. After it was over, Fallon was characteristically over the moon. Watch a replay below.
In addition to being the musical guest, Grande also sat opposite Fallon for a chat about eternal sunshine and expressed excitement for her role as Glinda in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked, which will premiere on November 27th. Check out portions of that conversation below as well.
eternal sunshine dropped on March 8th, and features raw, vulnerable performances from Grande. It was her first full-length album since 2020’s positions, and was preceded by several singles, including “yes, and?” and “we can’t be friends (wait for your love),” the latter of which arrived with an Evan Peters-starring music video inspired by the 2004 movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
