Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the third and likely final film in the Venom franchise that features Tom Hardy in the lead role of Eddie Brock.
Check out the official synopsis and trailer for Venom: The Last Dance — which is the fifth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe following Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius, and Madame Web — below, via Sony Pictures:
“In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”
Alongside Tom Hardy reprising his role of Eddie Brock/Venom, Venom: The Last Dance — a sequel to 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage — also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham.
Unlike the first two films, Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams does not have a role in Venom: The Last Dance.
The Venom franchise began in 2018 with the release of Venom, which was directed by Ruben Fleischer. The sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, was directed by Andy Serkis and saw Woody Harrelson join the franchise as Cletus Kasady/Carnage.
Venom: The Last Dance was directed by Kelly Marvel, who wrote the screenplays for the first two Venom movies in addition to projects such as Saving Mr. Banks, Fifty Shades of Grey, and the AppleTV+ series The Changeling.
