Jack White to Play Michigan Central Concert Produced by Eminem

Detroit legends Jack White and Diana Ross are among the musicians set to participate in an Eminem-produced concert celebrating the grand reopening of the Michigan Central Station on June 6th. The event will be streamed live on Peacock beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET. Additionally, a one-hour primetime re-broadcast will be shown on NBC on June 9th at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT.

The historic train depot was first opened in 1913, but shuttered in 1988 and remained vacant until it was purchased by the Ford Motor Company in 2018. Now, following a six-year restoration it is set to be reopened as a mixed use facility.

To celebrate its reopening, Eminem and his longtime manager, Paul Rosenberg, are executive producing a 90-minute concert featuring some of Detroit’s biggest stars. Alongside White and Ross, other scheduled performers include Big Sean, Illa J, Kierra Sheard, Theo Parrish, Slum Village, The Clark Sisters, Sky Jetta, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

The concert also promises performances from non-Detroit artists including Common, Fantasia, Melissa Etheridge, and Jelly Roll.

Last week, Eminem previewed his upcoming studio album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), with the release of his new single, “Houdini.” As for White, this marks his first confirmed live performance since wrapping up his “Supply Chain Issues Tour” and appearance on Saturday Night Live in early 2023.

Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly listed Eminem as a performer. Currently, Eminem is only producing the concert.
