Speed have shared the latest cut from their forthcoming debut album ‘ONLY ONE MODE’ in the form of flute-fuelled hardcore rager ‘THE FIRST TEST’.
A pit-spinning anthem that darts into unchartered territories, it’s a glimpse into what we can expect when the album arrives on July 12.
With its lyrics seeing frontman Jem Siow reflect on his marginalisation as an Asian-born Australian, ‘THE FIRST TEST’ also sees the vocalist rip the gnarliest of flute solos.
The album’s second single, following the release of ‘REAL LIFE LOVE’ back in April, it arrives alongside an extremely cool music video, produced by the band themselves alongside creative partners Jack Rudder and Thomas Elliot.

The band’s full-length debut ‘ONLY ONE MODE’ arrives on July 12 via Flatspot Records and Last Ride Records.
Speed are currently out on a huge US tour with Knocked Loose, but will return to the UK to bring their hardcore antics to Download Festival on June 14.
