Dead & Company are the latest group to announce a residency at Las Vegas’ $2.3 billion multi-media venue, The Sphere. The supergroup, which consists of former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, along with John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chiment, kicked off their 30-night residency beginning on May 16th, 2024, with shows now running through the middle of August.

What is Dead & Company’s 2024 Residency at The Sphere?
Dead & Company’s residency at The Sphere follows U2 and Phish’s respective runs in the billion dollar Las Vegas venue. Dead & Company previously embarked on what they billed as their “farewell tour” in 2023, making their return to live shows a blessing for Dead Heads everywhere.
The band initially previewed the residency by posting a teaser on their social media pages. “In 2023, Dead & Company played their final tour,” the band said. “But there are other ways to make sure the music never stops. And it’s gonna be a ball.”
The residency consists of 30 shows taking place 10 weeks. Due to overwhelming demand, the band has now announced six additional shows taking place in August, specifically: August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd; and August 8th, 9th, and 10th.
Dead & Company plan to take advantage of the Sphere’s cutting-edge technology, including its high resolution wrap-around LED display and immersive audio setup to present “never-before-seen visual storytelling.” What’s more, each weekend’s three performances promises a unique setlist.

An advanced pre-sale for the newly announced Dead & Company’s newly announced August 2024 concerts at the Sphere will take place on Thursday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m. PT. Fans can register for the pre-sale here. Tickets will then go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, May 31st at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.
