Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been the talk of the tabloids in recent works as alleged inside sources have been fueling speculation that the pair are headed for a divorce.
While the pair had previously not been spotted together in weeks, they were photographed together over the weekend. Those photos, however, are making headlines for reasons other than their apparent reunion, and that’s Affleck’s phone, specifically, how he has his wife saved in it.
The photo of Affleck’s homepage lighting up with a call from his wife Jennifer, which can be found all over Twitter — paparazzi hounds and their ghoulish lawyers prevent us from posting the photos here, sorry — reveals that Ben has her saved as “Jennifer Affleck” and made her contact picture a sultry portrait photo that appears to be from some kind of promotional Twitter.
What makes it all even weirder is that Lopez is sitting next to him while the call screen was photographed, raising the question of why she’s even calling him in the first place.
Affleck and Lopez were photographed on Sunday, May 19, attending a school event in Santa Monica for one of their children.
The apparently estranged couple met up Sunday in Santa Monica, where they both showed out to support J Lo’s kid, Emme, in a school event. Jennifer Garner also showed up with Fin, as Ben and Jen’s kid is pretty tight with Emme.
Things got more interesting when they left Santa Monica — Ben was smiling behind the wheel, and Jennifer was in his passenger seat, as they headed out … apparently to grab dinner together at BOA Steakhouse in WeHo. [via TMZ]
Lopez legally changed her name to Jennifer Affleck when the pair got hitched in LasVegas in 2022, telling Vogue that people are still going to call her Jennifer Lopez and that she’ll just be Jennifer Affleck legally.
According to reports, the pair are no longer living in the same house as Lopez is residing in the $60 million Beverly Hills home they bought together whole Affleck has been living in a rental in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
“People are still going to call me Jennifer Lopez. But my legal name will be Mrs. Affleck because we’re joined together,” she explained. “We’re husband and wife. I’m proud of that. I don’t think that’s a problem. I’m very much in control of my own life and destiny and feel empowered as a woman and as a person.”
In addition to their personal relationship, there’s also a professional dynamic at play as Affleck is producing her upcoming movie Unstoppable, which is about champion one-legged wrestler Anthony Robles.
