Mimi Barks has dropped the latest cut from her forthcoming album, ‘This Is Doom Trap’, featuring Yeti Bones of Ho99o9.
Ahead of her appearances at 2000 Trees and Bloodstock Festival this summer, new single ‘Montana’ is another taste of the dark, compelling world Mimi Barks is building.
Following on from album-announcer ‘FSU’ and vulnerable single ‘Banshee’, the new track sees the artist flipping between English vocals to her native German.
With ‘This Is Doom Trap’ arriving September 26 via Silent Cult, on her latest single Mimi has cryptically shared:
“Power through betrayal.
“Ambition through hopelessness.
“Every tear my teacher and I’m fueled by the hatred.
“Great grief births empowerment and this song is the testament.
“An untold truth. A restlessness so deeply anchored in my subconscious, a calling so deeply felt that only my mother tongue could translate this reality within me.”
