Good Burger alum Kel Mitchell is putting his ex-wife on blast, alleging she was a serial cheater who became pregnant with multiple suitors.
In a revealing interview on Club Shay Shay, Mitchell elaborated to Shannon Sharpe on his reasons for staying in the relationship and the way he discovered the truth.
“I ended up marrying my ex-wife because we had another baby,” Mitchell recalled. “We had the abortion and then we had a baby… and she ended up telling me that the baby that was aborted wasn’t mine. Within that process, you already marry within a lie,” Mitchell added.
Later in the interview, Mitchell admitted his marriage was never the same. To make matters worse, it was at the height of his TV stardom, giving him little time to process the infidelity.
“No, this is the beginning,” he explained. “This started at the beginning. Within that process and that being known … Now I’m on TV. I don’t have time to process that.”
Kel Mitchell went on to detail his ex’s multiple infidelities, including catching her red-handed at a hotel with another man.
The actor did not name his ex-wife but was married to Tyisha Hampton from 1999 to 2005. He then married Asia Lee in 2012, and they remain together.
Kel Mitchell is the father of four children. With his former wife, Tyisha, he shares two children named Lyric and Allure. He also has two children with Asia Lee, named Wisdom and Honor.

He filed for divorce in 2005. Mitchell claims it was because his ex-wife wanted to be with another man in 2004 while he was away on set working.
At that point, he felt like hitting the “reset” button, realizing his marriage wasn’t the fairy tale he thought it was. In the interview, he mentioned forgiving his wife, which helped him regain his faith in God.
For her part, Ket Mitchell’s ex-wife is pushing back against his claims. Tyisha Hampton took to TikTok, telling a pointedly different version of events.
“Dude, are you okay? This is the story that I guess he’s been telling people, and I’m sure the story has morphed into five different men,” she said. “I don’t even know. You’re trying to get people not to like me or think I’m some wh*re and that will somehow change the reality of what happened. That’s just now it works at all.”
She also stated she never cheated on Mitchell and confirmed through a DNA test that he is the father of their children.
