After a 12-year hiatus, the revered psychedelic country band Beachwood Sparks returns with their new single ‘Falling Forever,’ offering a tantalizing preview of their forthcoming album Across The River of Stars, set for release on July 19 via Curation Records.
Known for their pioneering blend of country and psychedelia Beachwood Sparks first formed in 1997 from the remnants of Further and Strictly Ballroom. As alternative country’s early wave crested and receded, Beachwood Sparks carved out a unique niche, channeling the cosmic vibes of The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers. Despite seeming out of step with the prevailing musical trends of the late ’90s and early 2000s, they found a dedicated following among those attuned to their otherworldly soundscapes.
With the release of ‘Falling Forever,’ the band’s timeless psychedelic jangle is on full display. The three-minute journey through lush harmonies and intricate melodies echoes the band’s early influences while offering a fresh, modern twist.
‘Falling Forever’ is out now. Across The River of Stars, is scheduled to release on July 19 via Curation Records.
