An old photo of actress Millie Bobby Brown when she was a teenager that she claims was taken by Drake has resurfaced due to the ongoing beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
In his diss track ‘Not Like Us’, Kendrick accused Drake of “liking them young,” which prompted Drake to namecheck Millie Bobby Brown in his response.
“Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young/You better not ever go to cell block one/ To any b—- that talk to him and they in love/Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him,” Lamar raps on the track.
“Only f—– with Whitneys, not Millie Bobby Browns, I’d never look twice at no teenager,” Drake then responded on ‘The Heart Part 6’.
Some rap fans, however, thought it was strange for Drake to mention the Stranger Things star given that Kendrick hadn’t said anything about her.
This actually isn’t the first time that Drake has mentioned Brown on a song, as he previously rapped about her on the 2023 track ‘Another Late Night.’
“Weirdos in my comments talking about some Millie Bobby / Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flocking,” he rapped.
A few years ago, Brown — who was a teenager at the time — made headlines when she revealed that she and Drake would have text conversations.
Due to the renewed concern about the nature of the relationship between Brown and Drake, an old photo from her Facebook page that the actress claimed was taken by Drake has gone viral in recent days for all the wrong reasons.
At the time of this writing, the photo remains live on Brown’s official Facebook page. Brown shared the photo on her Facebook page on November 17, 2017, which was six days after the pair met following one of Drake’s concerts in Brisbane, Australia.
“He’s honestly so fantastic and a great model,” Brown, now 20 years old, said of Drake back in 2018. “We text, we just [texted] each other the other day, and he was like: ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like: ‘I miss you more!’ He’s coming to Atlanta, so I’m definitely going to go and see him.”
When asked what she and Drake — who is 17 years older than her — would text about, Brown revealed that he would give her dating advice.
“About boys, he helps me! He’s great, he’s wonderful, I love him,” Brown said.
After Brown’s comments resulted in some backlash, she took to Instagram to further defend her friendship with Drake.
“Why u gotta make a lovely friendship ur headline?” she wrote on her Instagram story. “U guys are weird… For real. im lucky to have people in the business extend their time to help me further my career and offer their wisdom and guidance.”
In recent weeks, however, Brown has yet to make a statement about being dragged into the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
