The second official trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One has been released. The film stars Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o alongside Stranger Things breakout Joseph Quinn, beloved veteran actor Djimon Hounsou, Alex Wolff, and Elaine Umuhire.
A Quiet Place: Day One — directed by Michael Sarnoski, known for his breakout 2021 film Pig with Nicholas Cage — will be released in movie theaters in the United States on Friday, June 28. Check out the second official trailer below.
A Quiet Place: Day One is one of two massive roles for Quinn following his breakout performance as Eddie Munson in the fourth season of Stranger Things, as he was recently cast to star as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s upcoming tentpole The Fantastic Four alongside Pedro Pascal (Mister Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing).
Beginning in 2018 with A Quiet Place, the franchise has become an unsuspectedly successful one for Paramount Pictures after the first film grossed over $340 million on just a $17 million budget.
The second movie, A Quiet Place Part II, was released during the pandemic-era of movie-going in 2021 and still grossed over $297 million against a $60 million budget.
In addition to the upcoming prequel, Krasinski is also developing a third and final entry in the main series of films, A Quiet Place Part III, that’s currently scheduled to be released in 2025.
Krasinski got his directorial career off the ground with A Quiet Place Part and A Quiet Place Part II, and has since made the hybrid-animated family film IF, which stars Ryan Reynolds and will be released in theaters on May 17.
