Sydney Sweeney Rocks Backless Denim Tube Top Ahead Of Met Gala

Sydney Sweeney recently turned heads in New York City with her latest fashion statement as she prepares to attend this year’s Met Gala.

The actress wore a denim tube top that laid bare her back and flashed her toned midriff. This comes after she admitted that she was aware of how people have typecasted her because of her body rather than her acting chops.

As the “Euphoria” star prepares to attend the 2024 Met Gala ceremony, she appeared in New York on Saturday with a risque denim ensemble that set tongues wagging.

Sweeney wore a stunning backless Miu Miu ensemble that comprised a backless tube top that clung tightly to her body.

She paired the top with low-waisted baggy jeans and accessorized with a pair of dark sunglasses, silver hoop earrings, and a tiny white Miu Miu purse.

The actress left her short golden locks to lay freely over her shoulders as she opted for a light makeup look that showed off her rosy cheeks and lips.

In a recent interview with Variety, the “Anyone But You” star opened up about her stand on what people think about her body, despite having gone on to attain massive success in the movie industry.

Responding to whether or not such conversations get to her, Sweeney said she sees them but prefers to allow herself not to “have a reaction.”

“I don’t know how to explain it — I’m still trying to figure it out myself,” she shared. “People feel connected and free to be able to speak about me in whatever way they want because they believe that I’ve signed my life away.”

Sweeney continued, “That I’m not on a human level anymore because I’m an actor. That these characters are for everybody else, but then me, as Sydney is not for me anymore. It’s this weird relationship that people have with me that I have no control or say over.”

Sweeney’s beauty and acting prowess recently became a topic of conversation online after top Hollywood producer Carol Baum called her “not pretty” and said she “can’t act.”

Baum singled out her romantic comedy, “Anyone But You,” tagging it “unwatchable” as she questioned why there was so much buzz around Sweeney.

The actress subsequently fired back through her rep in a statement to Variety.

“How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman,” Sweeney’s rep said in a statement.

“If that’s what she’s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that’s shameful. To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms. Baum’s character,” the statement continued.

According to E! News, the “White Lotus” actress may be planning to marry her fiancé Jonathan Davino soon after making an appearance at a bridal store.

Sweeney was seen leaving the L.A. bridal store with a large garment bag after spending more than three hours in there for the appointment.

She opted to keep her outfit for the meeting quite casual, appearing in blue wide-legged denim, a white sweater, and square-toed platform shoes. She completed the look with a black Miu-Miu handbag and accessorized with oversized sunglasses.

According to the news outlet, the 26-year-old actress was with her close pal Gigi Vittoria, who also opted for a casual appearance. For the outing, she wore light-wash jeans, sneakers, and a graphic tee.

Sweeney got engaged to Davino in 2022, and the couple has since worked together on several projects, including “Anyone But You” and “Immaculate.”

She previously told Glamour Magazine that she has been developing a Pinterest board for her wedding day for a while now.

“I started making that when I was like 10,” she told the publication in December 2023. “I’m more of an experience planner, so I’m like, ‘What experience do I want to give people? Are we going on a tropical vacation? Are we doing a carnival?'”
