It’s Mental Health Awareness Month, so of course it’s time for the Consequence Podcast Network to bring back Going There with Dr. Mike for Season 5!
Created in partnership between the Consequence Podcast Network and Sound Mind Live, Going There has spent four seasons delivering insightful conversations with your favorite musicians. Speaking with host and licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Mike Friedman, artists like Noah Kahan, Julien Baker, Vic Mensa, Faye Webster, and more have opened up about their personal mental health journeys to help foster a sense of connection with listeners on their own path to wellness.
That mission continues with a new weekly format for Going There Season 5. Releasing every Tuesday, the podcast will feature new episodes with early guests like Marcus King, The Lumineers’ Jeremiah Fraites, CMAT, and more premiering alongside legacy shows from our archives. But to kick things off in celebration of MHAM, we’re debuting two new episodes first: Yungblud on May 7th and SHAED on May 14th.
What’s more, SHAED will be playing Sound Mind Live’s 6th annual Music Festival for Mental Health just a few days later on Saturday, May 18th. Taking place in Bushwick, Brooklyn, the free (free) street festival will also feature performances by Kevin Morby, MisterWives, Bailen, and a special after party with music from DJ White Shadow. With food from Smorgasburg, dance parties at House of Yes, wellness sessions, mental health panels, and more, you can get your free passes and learn more at the Sound Mind Live website.
Before you do that, though, make sure to subscribe to the Going There with Dr. Mike podcast wherever you listen to make sure you’re getting all the fresh episodes during Season 5. You can also listen to the full series archives below.
