This photo is from my annual #Newyearsday trash pick up on my favorite beach. #earthday.” How does she stay so fit? Schull is a former ballerina, and she still likes to dance. She tells Honolulu Magazine, “I do dance recreationally for exercise. When I’m not working, I’ll take classes three to four times a week. Plus, I still keep in touch with all my San Francisco Ballet friends and my mom is the president of Ballet Hawaii, so I stay involved with the dance community that way.“
Scull makes sure to workout on a regular basis. She shared her secrets for doing so in an interview with Women’s Running. “I try to slip exercise in to my daily routine as much as possible. When I am shooting long hours it can be difficult, especially when I have early call times. If I’m not able to attend a ballet or structured exercise class, I do my own exercise routine that consists of a Pilates mat class. I also bring an exercise band to set and do leg or arm work between scenes.”
Schull tells Women’s Running that she makes sure to have healthy foods available to her. “Healthy eating is definitely a challenge when I’m not in control of all of my meals. I usually make myself a green smoothie in the morning to take to work, and then practice as much self-restraint as possible when craft services brings naughty snacks around… I often ask for cut vegetables and if I feel like I need some protein, I request a few slices of cheese. For a little sweet snack that isn’t super caloric, I get a sliced apple with almond butter.”
Schull has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her routine in an interview with Real Style Network. “I wash my face with only water in the morning and am fairly militant about my moisturizer and SPF routine. If I exercise and sweat, I use a makeup removing wipe (Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes) to clean my face, and reapply my moisturizer and SPF in the afternoon. At night I wash my face and slather on the moisturizer again!“
Schulle tells Real Style Network that she doesn’t like to use a lot of products on her hair. “I try not to use a lot of product on my hair. I think I am a bit of a nightmare for stylists because I am always trying to get them to achieve their desired look without any hairspray or gel. The one product that works best for my hair, and isn’t too damaging is hair wax. That is what I prefer to use on set for touch ups as well.”
