One of the directors of The Lost City is sharing some behind-the-scenes secrets!
In a new interview, co-director Adam Nee opened up about Brad Pitt‘s role, and how they were able to land him in the movie.
Adam shared that they were able to get the 58-year-old actor in the movie after he and Sandra Bullock were cast together in the upcoming Bullet Train.
Even though they were thrilled to have Brad in The Lost City, Adam revealed that his role was initially going to go to another beloved actor.

…and that actor was Keanu Reeves!
“I think we thought it was gonna be Keanu Reeves initially, but he was tied up with John Wick and that’s where we were like, ‘Brad was always our first choice,’ but we didn’t think it was gonna happen,” Adam shared with Screen Rant. “Then [Sandra] did Bullet Train and it came together. And I love Keanu, he would’ve been fun too.”
Adam went on to add that Brad and Sandra‘s shared hairdresser was the one that ultimately convinced Brad to take the part.
