She was propped up against a wall filled with plug sockets and a TV monitor and wrapped up in white sheets.
The brunette was make-up free but had a huge hair bow accessory pinned to her locks.
She then shared a snap showing her pal visiting her and lying on another bed in the room.
With the Prisoner’s Daughter star offering no explanation about her condition, fans’ worries were rife.
One wrote in the comments section: “Are you OK? Why are you in a hospital? Please get Well soon.”
A second put: “What on earth are you doing in hospital Kate?” as a third simply quizzed: “You ok? X”
It came after a period of sadness following the death of her stepfather Roy Battersby.
Director Roy suffered a “massive stroke” in December and was hospitalised in Los Angeles, California while battling two forms of cancer.
