BRITAIN’S Got Talent has welcomed a fresh batch of contestants that hope their audition earns them the golden buzzer.
When the button is pressed, the act automatically secures a place in the live semi-finals. Take a look here at who has received it so far.
Who are the Britain’s Got Talent 2022 Golden Buzzer acts?
Magician Keiichi
Ant and Dec charged out from the side of the stage to press the golden buzzer.
He went wild on the stage as the fans gave him a standing ovation for his mind-blowing magic.
The magician said: “I can’t explain my emotion, I never expected the golden buzzer.”
Speaking about his act, David said: “you’re the funniest person we’ve seen.
“You are the most magical person we’ve seen.”
Simon said: “You’re an absolute natural. People are going to love you so much.
“You are one of the best we’ve seen so far.”
Singer Loren Allred
American singer Loren Allred was granted the first golden buzzer of the series.
Judge Amanda Holden was left “shaking” when she pressed the golden buzzer for the 32-year-old singer after her incredible performance.
Allred gave a breathtaking performance of the song Never Enough from the Greatest Showman soundtrack.
Once the downpour of confetti finished from the buzzer, Amanda said: “I am absolutely shaking. I can’t believe I’ve had this incredible opportunity to give you your moment to shine, because this is it.”
Fans were shocked to discover that Loren was the voice behind Jenny Lind’s song Never Enough which features in the 2017 movie musical of The Greatest Showman.
Despite initially enjoying a life away from the spotlight, she told the judges that it’s now her time to shine.
Comedian Axel Blake
Comedian Axel Blake impressed the judges with his hilarious comedy sketch.
He made jokes about the Tube, the pandemic and contactless cards.
Judge Simon Cowell was so impressed with his performance that he decided to give him the golden buzzer.
He said the competition “needed acts like him’” after a difficult couple of years in the pandemic.
Fellow judge David Walliams described the sketch as “brilliantly funny and original”.
“A comedy superstar is born tonight. You made it all seem so effortless and you’ve got a wonderful, so likeable personality,” he said.
Axel’s performance went down a treat for most viewers, until they came to discover that he had been performing as a stand-up comedian for some time, and even has his own Amazon Prime Video.
One person tweeted: “Another professional with a golden buzzer. And an agent.”
Dance group Born To Perform
Viewers were in tears as David Walliams pressed his golden buzzer for dance group Born To Perform.
They performed a high energy routine to Hairspray hit You Can’t Stop The Beat that got an incredible reaction from the judges and audience.
The dance group caught the eye off all four judges as they gave them a standing ovation – with judge David Walliams going that one step further, jumping out of his seat and awarding them his precious golden buzzer.
David said “I absolutely loved it, I loved it so much that I’m doing this too!” before hitting the golden buzzer, sending the group straight into the live shows.
“When there’s a group of people onstage, it is kind of brilliant, because they’re all reacting to this great thing, this golden moment.
“I just felt they really deserved it. You sometimes see an act and you think, ‘This is what this show is about, celebrating something as inclusive and joyous, and life-affirming as this’, and it doesn’t often happen.
“If there were more groups like this in the world, the world would be a better place, is what I was thinking at the time. They remind us what’s good in the world, and we all need reminding of that now and again.”
Which judges can still pick a Golden Buzzer act?
Each season the judges and presenters have one opportunity to press the golden buzzer.
This means the act will skip straight through to the live semi-finals, which gives them a competitive advantage.
So far, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Ant and Dec have used their button preivilages.
This means Alesha Dixon is the only judge yet to use hers.
