Heather Rae El Moussa and her trainer Paulina Stein shared an intense 30 minute full body workout on social media (thanks ladies!)—and it can all be done at home. El Moussa, 36, has spoken about her postpartum fitness routine and what a game changer it was having Stein to help her. The Selling Sunset star shared a video of herself wearing black leggings and a gray sweatshirt, detailing what her fitness regimen looks like these days. Here’s what El Moussa’s fitness and diet routine looks like.
El Moussa is a former Pilates instructor, so fitness has always been a part of her lifestyle. One of her goals for 2024 was to do morning hot yoga at least once a week. “My trainer (Paulina) came to me at the perfect time,” she shared on Instagram. “I was 4 months postpartum. Working out here & there and mainly doing cardio. She’s a mama herself so she knows the female body very well and is super knowledgeable about postpartum. We started my journey slow but she also pushes me & holds me accountable. I’m so busy, life is chaotic most days so having someone who comes to my home is a game changer for me. Plus to be honest I’d rather be home in the AM with my baby than leave him to go workout.”
El Moussa tries to bring her own vegan lunches with her everywhere she goes. One of her favorite go-to’s is a bowl made with squash, roasted chickpeas, avocado, rice, vegan cheese, and hot sauce. “Vegans can get protein from nuts, peanut butter, seeds, grains, and legumes,” say the experts at FamilyDoctor.org. “Non-animal products like tofu and soymilk also provide protein. Vegans have to consider getting enough ‘complete proteins.’ A complete protein contains all the amino acids your body needs to help maintain your metabolism.”
El Moussa knows how important it is for parents to have time away from their children once in a while. “Mom & dad date night never disappoints ❤️🔥… but last night was extra special for Valentine’s day 🤍 A year ago on Valentine’s day marks the first date night we ever took after having Tristan and it’s crazy because leaving your baby never gets easy – but once you’re out you realize how important it is to have special quality time with your person,” she captioned an Instagram post.
El Moussa is highly enthusiastic about her skincare routine and never goes to bed without cleansing her face. “Fun fact about me: I have my esthetician license and have been skincare OBSESSED since I was 13 years old,” she shared on her Instagram. “I started doing things like cleansing and wearing sunscreen super early on in my life but I also have really sensitive skin so I’m extremely careful with what I put on my face. I’m always looking up ingredients to make sure they’re non-irritating and constantly looking into brands that are clean (lots of brands say they’re clean but really aren’t). Skincare is a ritual that I’ve always taken so seriously because if I had it my way, I’d be makeup free 99 percent of the time, so having clear, glowy skin is a must.”
El Moussa works out for her mental health as well as physical wellbeing. “I don’t just go to look good or to stay fit. I also go for my mind,” she told OK!. “I run four miles twice a week.”
