Now, they want to know what’s going on between him and his supermodel wife, Hailey Bieber.
Why is ‘Justin Bieber divorce’ trending?
The year 2023 saw many divorces and pregnancy rumors for Justin and Hailey.
While neither rumor has been confirmed, that has not stopped the internet from spewing conspiracy theories on the subject in 2024.
In 2023, one theory circulating TikTok claims that Justin, who is originally from Canada, and Hailey only got married so he could stay in the United States.
Creator @pattypopculture speculated that Justin’s work visa was set to expire in 2018, and because of 2014 criminal charges – he pleaded guilty to reduced charges of misdemeanor careless driving and resisting arrest – he was not able to apply for a new visa so instead, he got married as a way for him to stay until he could apply for independent permanent citizenship.

“And after exactly five years a green card holder through marriage — Justin – can apply for individual permanent citizenship in the US,” Patty explained in his video.
Some fans think that Justin asked his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez, to marry him first, but when she said no, they split and he went on to marry Hailey a few months later, but this has not been confirmed.
While this theory might never be proven, Justin did raise some eyebrows while starring in the music video for DJ Khaled and Drake’s 2020 song, Popstar.
In the video, he is seen lipreading the lyric, “Ariana, Selena, my visa,” which many fans think was his way of saying his relationships have just been visas to him, which is another claim that can’t be proven.
Similarly, Hailey’s dad Stephen Baldwin, 57, dropped a cryptic post about his daughter and son-in-law on his Instagram Stories on February 26, 2024.
In his Stories, Stephen shared a video of pop music icon Justin singing a hymn and added a cryptic caption of his own saying: “Christians, please when you think of Justin & Hailey, take a moment to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and to draw close to the Lord.”
After the post was shared directly referencing Hailey, 27, and her husband Justin, 29, fans quickly linked Stephen’s post to the young couple’s marriage, after weeks of speculation that they were headed for divorce.
When did Justin and Hailey Bieber get married?
Everyone thought that Justin and Selena would be end game because of their eight-year on-and-off romance, however, it all came to an end in May 2018.
Two months later, he got engaged to Hailey and they tied the knot in a courthouse wedding on September 13, 2018.
Over the years, Justin and Hailey have posted about each other several times online, however, they have not directly spoken about why they got married so quickly.
In a May 2021 interview with GQ, Justin spoke about the couple’s first year of marriage, revealing that it was “really tough.”
“The first year of marriage was really tough because there was a lot, going back to the trauma stuff,” he explained.
“There was just lack of trust. There was all these things that you don’t want to admit to the person that you’re with, because it’s scary. You don’t want to scare them off by saying, ‘I’m scared.’”
While the first year of marriage might’ve been rocky, the pair have since worked out their differences.
