It is always fun to know interesting behind-the-scenes stories of movies and shows. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is so big and adventurous that every actor has something interesting to share. Many Marvel actors often have something fun to share; the latest one is Josh Brolin, aka Thanos. The actor currently promoting Dune 2, shared an anecdote where Mark Ruffalo, aka Hulk, saved him during the shooting of Avengers: Endgame.
Can you imagine a reality where the Hulk saves Thanos? It sounds like an exciting premise for the Disney+ series, What If. However, in reality, Mark helped Josh during a scene where the latter forgot some of his lines. The Dune 2 actor made these revelations in an interview with GQ.
Josh Brolin shared that while they were shooting Avengers: Endgame, his character Thanos was lying on the ground, and the cameras were on him. There were other actors around, like Mark Ruffalo and Don Cheadle (off camera). Josh realised he had forgotten his line and looked at the Poor Things actor for help.
Josh Brolin added, “And I go, ‘What’s my line?’ Like he would know, he’s a different character, a different actor, and he looked at me, he goes,’ I don’t know.’ And I go, ‘You have to know. What is it? What is it?’ And I knew it was coming. Chris (Hemsworth) is off there saying something. He’s picking up his big (hammer) thing, and I go. ‘What’s the line?’ and he (Mark) actually gave me the line.” Josh couldn’t help but wonder how did Mark Ruffalo remember his lines. He called Ruffalo the nicest human being in the world. For him, it is his favourite memory during the shooting of the 2019 MCU movie.
Meanwhile, Josh’s next film, Dune 2, is all set to release in theatres on March 1. The Denis Villeneuve directorial stars Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Austin Butler, Rebecca Ferguson, Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, Dave Bautista, Stellar Skarsgard, and Lea Seydoux.
