DANIELLE Brooks has shown off her figure in a plunging red dress while attending a private event in Los Angeles.
The outing comes ahead of this year’s Academy Awards, where Danielle, 34, is in the running for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

The actress scored a nomination for her role as Sofia in The Color Purple movie revival, which was the only nomination the film received.
Ahead of the 96th annual awards show, which will take place at the Dolby Theatre on March 10, Danielle showed off her curves in a dynamic ensemble.
The Orange Is the New Black star attended a private dinner at Catch Steak Restaurant in Los Angeles, California.
She opted for a textured, skintight red dress that fell to her knees and showed off her figure.

The dress featured a low V-neck, which allowed the celeb to show off ample cleavage as she headed into the event.
Danielle matched the spaghetti-strapped garment with a red shall, also pairing the outfit with a black handbag and silver heels.
Her long, dark hair was sleek and straightened and she had her makeup glamorously finished off with dramatic eyelashes.
Danielle, who also snagged a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the film earlier this year, smiled wide as she waved at the paparazzi’s cameras.
DANIELLE’S REPRISED ROLE
The actress has been having a busy awards season after The Color Purple’s release on Christmas Day.
On scoring her Oscars nomination, Danielle told The New York Times that it was a dream come true.
“It’s like getting the M.V.P. at the Super Bowl. Crazy. It’s what I always just hoped and dreamed would happen, but for it to actually happen, I’m in shock!” she said.
The film also stars American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino, 39, as well as Taraji P. Henson, 53, Colton Domingo, 54, Corey Hawkins, 35, and Halle Bailey, 23.
Danielle’s emotional portrayal of Sofia came after she had previously played the role in the Broadway revival from 2015-2017, landing herself a Tony nomination.
In terms of the difference between playing the role on Broadway and for the film, Danielle said being in the setting of the story had a huge impact.
“When I was doing it in theater, all we had were wooden chairs and a wooden stage. So I used my imagination. But with this I got all the elements I could ever want,” she explained.
“I’m actually in the Georgian sun on a plantation. That sets me right where I need to be. It was the biggest gift as an actor.
“And now today, to be standing in this position, the only one from this movie to get nominated, I’m very humbled,” Danielle added.
PERSONAL LIFE
Since playing the role of Sofia on Broadway, who has children of her own, Danielle has welcomed her own daughter, Freeya Carel.
The actress gave birth to Freeya in November 2022 after announcing she was pregnant months prior.
The Academy-award-nominated actress also tied the knot with her husband, Dennis Gelin, in 2022.
Although she has lived much of her adult life in the spotlight, her husband has been much more private.
Extra TV reported that Dennis works in real estate, but not much else is known about him other than that.
